Creative Challenge: Design and production of a variety of annual seed guides.

I’ve designed about a dozen seed guides and did production on dozens more. I’ve also art directed photo shoots around the Midwest, working with professional ag photographers while adding supplementary photography to maximize the return for clients. Seed guides are an enjoyable challenge in that they combine a number of disciplines, such as design, efficient long-document construction, photo selection and retouching, clever use of tables, and more.
Prior to working at Brighton, I had no real experience in the ag industry. I learned a lot over the years and developed an immense admiration for farmers and growers. Their jobs are so vitally important to this country and are more intricate, technical and challenging than most people realize.
