Another enjoyable project involving problem-solving, photography, retouching and fun dielines.
As with all Brighton holiday cards, the direction is to show the faces of all employees within a holiday-themed motif. This Advent calendar had a number of problems to solve.
First, we worked closely with the printer to establish a die that would result in a finished piece that could be affordably mailed to Brighton’s clients.
Next, I constructed a durable plywood box and frame that would fit up to two people. The box had to match the exact aspect ratio dictated by the dielines and then be safely secured to a solid base that wouldn’t move as people climbed in and out of it over the course of a week. Some of the movie themes required pre-planning to make retouching and dropping in 3D elements easier.
